Following the Joint Perforating Company's (JPC's) takeover of Eberspächer (UK) Ltd’s tube bending operations, the UKF Group have invested in a new Tube Cold Bending machine.  The Coventry-site currently operates with six tube bending cells - four Schwarze-Robitec GmbH and two Addition Manufacturing Technologies.

The new addition will be a Type CNC 80 MR. This fully electric Tube Cold Bending machine is part of the high-performance series from Schwarze-Robitec. The 80 MR’s multiple-bending tools and several clamp jaws make it the perfect match for bend-in-bend systems and piping systems - such as manifolds and exhaust pipes.

Chairman Phil Morris “This machine is a real statement of our intent. Not just in our dedication in supporting our key customer, Eberspächer, but also in our efforts to expand our tube-bending services to more customers."

The 80 MR's combination of customisable tools and multilevel technology provides ease and accuracy when forming tubes with very short intermediate lengths between the bends. Capable of bending tube of various materials (Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Titanium etc.) of diameters up to 80mm and wall thicknesses of 2.5mm. The new machine will boost productivity and reduce lead times when it is installed later this year.
